Course 3
Course 4

This introductory 2 day course is about understanding the development of the brain and senses and how movement makes the connections to start linking up areas of the brain.

The aim of this course is to investigate how movement, before and after, is important for laying the foundations of neural development and organisation, and how we can use movements that replicate these innate movements to assist in developing brain maturity.

Movement is essential for the development of the central nervous system. At birth, the neural connections between the different areas of the brain are minimal. As the infants moves and experiences the world he/she creates, strengthens and myelinates neural networks. In this course we will be looking at:

  • The different types of movement
  • The importance of exactness of the movements
  • Neural development and the areas of the brain
  • The effects of Rhythmic Movements
  • Areas of the brain we work with in RMT:
  • The Neural chassis, Brain stem, Cerebellum, Midbrain, Basal ganglia, Limbic system and Prefrontal cortex

This 2 day course will give participants valuable information as to what can be achieved using Rhythmic Movements to help children and adults who cannot focus, comprehend, keep their attention for long, who have been diagnosed with ADHD and behavioural challenges. You will have an understanding of:

  • Why developmental movements are important to improve attention and focus
  • Why some children, and adult’s, cannot make the movements and what this means
  • Looking at reflexes relating to ADHD/ADD without medication
  • An undeveloped brain of an infant and what that means to learning and life in general
  • The Triune Brain related to the early stages of development
  • The importance of the Cerebellum to movement, speech and connections to the frontal lobes
  • Why children have difficulties sitting still, being attentive and how you can help quickly
  • Identifying developmental challenges through testing the reflexes
  • The effects of RMT on behaviour and impulse control
  • Examination and integration of the Primitive reflexes
  • Developing strong neural connections from the Cerebellum to the speech centres using movement

This 2 day course will give you further valuable insight and a natural technique about how RMT can help children and adults stablise various emotional challenges, develop Inner Leadership skills and the linking up of the Limbic System (the emotional brain) to the Frontal lobes to control emotions.                                                                                     You will have an understanding of –

  • The functions of the Limbic System
  • Why children and adult’s have ‘meltdowns’
  • How stress affects the development of the Limbic system and the body
  • The importance of tactile and vestibular stimulation for emotional development
  • The importance of play for the growth of nerve cells and memory
  • Understanding the effects of stress on learning and the senses
  • The importance of the Moro and how it can affect the ability to learn
  • Emotional challenges due to an un-integrated Moro reflex
  • The Moro reflex and the development of the five senses
  • The Moro and the ‘Fight / Flight’ system
  • Techniques to integrate the Moro easily
  • Understand the Fear Paralysis Reflex related to feeling ‘safe’ in the world
  • Learn pre-birth movements to integrate the Fear Paralysis reflex
  • Motor function and the Limbic System
  • Movements for linking up the Limbic system
  • Movements for linking up the Limbic system and the Frontal lobes
  • Movements for control of the Lumbar area of the spine
  • Attack and defence behaviour and the Tendon Guard reflex
  • Movements to relax muscle tension and release suppressed feelings
  • Movements for relaxing tension in the legs and fixations of the spine

This 2 day course will give participants valuable information and natural techniques to help children and adults who are just living by ‘surviving’. They are constantly living in overwhelm, fear, extreme anxiety and don’t cope well in life. They don’t feel ‘safe’ or belong or connected in the world. They have great difficulty communicating, expressing themselves and participating in life. This course looks at the emotional aspects of the Fear Paralysis Reflex and each of the other reflexes related to speech, articulation, eating issues and how movement can improve a person’s life by helping them to integrate the reflexes to feel safe and connected in the world with life long results. This is a profound and life changing course, covering –

  • In-depth understanding of the following reflexes and the emotional impact of each
  • The timescale the following reflexes emerge, develop, peak and then integrate
  • The Fear Paralysis reflex in-depth
  • How the FPR deeply affects a person’s life and how they live in constant stress
  • The signs and symptoms of a person with a retained FPR
  • Look at emotional statements and emotions that go with the FPR
  • Learn an amazing range of techniques to help integrate the reflex
  • Learn about two additional spinal reflexes, the Spinal Perez and Vollmer
  • Understand the signs and symptoms of these two reflexes
  • Learn simple movements that integrate each
  • Look at the Moro reflex relating to the Spinal Perez and Vollmer
  • Understanding the Moro and the Seeking and Reward system
  • Further understanding of the Babkin relating to speech and articulation
  • How the Babkin affects Bonding and Attachment issues and future relationships
  • Learn movements to integrate the Babkin
  • Learn a specific hand massage to help the pincer grip for fine motor skills
  • Understand the Rooting and Suck reflexes relating to speech and feeding issues
